  Is it a server side (actionScript) and do you need Flash on the local workstation to enable it to work?  Is CS4 the client side Flash language?


I am new to Flash.  Is it a server side (actionScript) and do you need Flash on the local workstation to enable it to work?  Is CS4 the client side Flash language?

The client trying to play your flash movie will need flash installed.
Actionscript is a Flash specific language, it has nothing to do with servers.
I believe Actionscript 4 or CS4 would be the current version of the language.
