Now with all that out of the way, the reason I posted this in the Game Development section because I wanted to get other programmers views on how we should keep all the programmers up to date on the client/server source so that programmers know what the others have worked on and what they are working on. We currently have a small system we are using but I thought maybe some other programmers have a better idea. So post away.

Can you post your looking for a programmer part of your post, in the Hire a Programmer forum! And link this thread to that one in your above post, and in your new post link to this thread. Otherwise I will have to move this thread to there. Thanks
We're using an SVN for certain information right now. It requires a username and password for now, it's meant only for those working on the project. We are testing various things as far as the server goes. No code for the game has been written yet. It seems that some things are being arranged still, such as how we will get started and who will be doing what. We do have someone in charge who knows how the game should be designed, he's worked with them in the past. He just isn't available as often as we'd like him to be.
You could move it yourself if you don't mind. It would probably be quicker than when DunkOrSlam gets back.

If you ever have the time to come work on the project with us, feel free to contact one of us. We plan to keep this project going for a long time, so you should have plenty of time. We don't want to make people rush into things to come work with us. |
