I highly recommend checking out www.gamedev.net for a very fine selection of books for C++ game development.
Also, there are other programming languages that might interest you in terms of game development as well.  The more stuff you have under your belt, the better in the long run.

btw are you on windows or linux? because I have a book in game coding for linux. Its a great book.
