The problem is that the C programs compiled won't run giving a "command not found" error ( it doesn't recognize "makefile" either or the compilation commands).
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
After an hard work, I was able to install Debian ( Sarge ) in a Linux partition in my PC ( with a swap linux partition , a FAT32 partition and along with the major one in NTFS - where the windows XP lyes ).
At first I wasn't able to write to the FAT partition from Debian - now I can ( I tested with Easy Editor ). The problem is that the C programs compiled won't run giving a "command not found" error ( it doesn't recognize "makefile" either or the compilation commands).
What am I doing wrong?
